Easy, Tool-Free Installation – Fits 2", 2.25", and 2.5" Posts
Installing the Imperial Solar Post Cap Light is a breeze—just slip it over the top of your post. Designed specifically for steel or aluminum posts, this fixture offers a secure, screw-free fit across three common sizes:
- Fits 2.5" x 2.5" posts – Simply remove all adapters. Base opening measures 2-5/8" square.
- Fits 2.25" x 2.25" posts – Arrives ready to install with the 2-1/4" adapter preinstalled. Base opening measures 2-3/8" square.
- Fits 2" x 2" posts – Swap the preinstalled adapter for the included 2" adapter. Base opening measures 2-1/16" square.
Each adapter and base are precision-engineered for a compression fit—no screws required. For added stability, we recommend applying a small bead of exterior-grade caulk along the inside bottom edge before installation.

Easy Maintenance: For longest run times and best overall performance make sure your light can receive at least 4 to 6 hours of bright direct sunlight to charge the battery. More sun exposure will equal longer run times. Replace rechargeable battery every 1-2 years or as needed.
